- Must have a Class “ A “ CDL.
- Must be a minimum of 22 years of age.
- Must have at least 1 year experience over the road.
- No more than 5 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- No more than 3 moving violations in any one of the 3 years.
- No more than one excessive speeding ticket in the last 3 years.
- No felony convictions in the past 5 years.
- Preventable DOT reportable accident upon review by management.
- No DWI/DUI convictions in the last 5 years.
- NO controlled substance involvement of any kind.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public, officials, and understand highway traffic signs.
- Trainees graduating from MVTI (only) with 80% average scores. .

Explanation of Benefits
Company Employees are eligible for wellness program after 120 days of Full-Time employment. To qualify for a full-time employment, a driver MUST average 34,750 miles per quarter. Any driver who fails to maintain this full-time status on any one quarter will be ineligible for the wellness program. Once miles are not met, you will be automatically cancelled and your next opportunity for enrollment will once a year, during Open Enrollment.
Satellite Communication System (PeopleNet) - While on the road, drivers can communicate with their fleet manager via PeopleNet . Drivers can also communicate with their families via the internet.
Wellness Program - Wellness Program with coverage for doctors visits and prescription available for full time employees.
Vacation Pay - Eligible after 1 full time year of service. **Scroll down for qualification requirements for driver vacation. Vacations are based on uninterrupted service and compliance of Driver Benefits section.
Vacation schedule is as follow:

Weekly Pay - Drivers are paid weekly.
Per diem allowance - The 10 cents allowance by the Federal Government that is TAX FREE.
401 K Retirement Plan - Employees are eligible to participate after 1 year of employment. After enrolled, the company will contribute to the plan a percentage in behalf of the employee.
Rider Policy - Drivers are permitted to take ONE passenger over 12 years old for a minimum cost.
Excellent Equipment - All MVT’ s trucks are conventional, state of the art equipment, air ride, automatic transmission and available PeopleNet Satellite Communication System, Pro-star, 10 speed
Paid Orientation - New employees will be paid $ 50.00 for each day orientation was attended on their first drivers settlement.

Vacation Requirements
- Solo drivers: 120,600 – 138,999 = $400 pay
139,000 miles and above is paid at full rate of pay for average of one week.
- Team drivers: 182,000 – 233,999 = $400 pay
234,000 miles and above is paid at full rate of pay for average of one week.
- Combined miles (run both team & solo during the year):
151,000 – 186,999 = $400 pay
- Any combined miles of 187,000 and above will be paid at your combined team & solo rate (i.e. If you ran 130,000 team & 60,000 solo = 190,000 combined miles. Your rate of pay is $.32 solo and $.22 team. We will combine your rates of pay = $.54 then divide by 2 which = $.27. 190,000 / 52 weeks = 3653.84 X $.27 = $986.54 – paid for vacation).
Quarterly Incentive Bonus Program
A safety, production incentive bonus program is use to provide recognition for all over the road company drivers that demonstrate professionalism, safety habits and productivity. In order to qualify for the quarterly incentive bonus, each driver must follow all of the following company rules, without exceptions:
- Drivers hired between quarters, will qualify if they reach the miles by the end of the quarter.
- Miles will start again at the beginning of each quarter
- A driver must be a current employee on the date the bonus is paid in order to receive the bonus. No bonus will be paid to terminated drivers.
- Attend continuing education classes (i.e. Smith System)
- Driving in a safe and professional manner, avoiding accidents, incidents and or claims.
- Demonstrating courteous and respectful behavior toward customers, employees and the general public.
- Obey the 14-day dispatch rule. All time off MUST be planned and approved.
- No load refusal
- PeopleNet must be used to report:
- Arrived at shipper
- Loaded call
- Arrived at stop
- Depart from stop
- Arrived at consignee
- Empty call
- Average 8.0 MPG
- Idle time must not exceed 4%.( Reducing idle time will help you obtain the average of 8.0 mpg.)
- All paperwork submitted in a timely manner (via imaging, TRANSFLOW).
- No improper fuel stop. Fuel only at designated stops
- Equipment is maintained and clean for safety, availability and appearance.
- Must pick up and deliver freight of all accepted dispatches on time.
- Drivers Logs must be turned in completed and correct and in a timely manner.
- Driver must be active for the while quarter, no moving violations
- (Drivers that fail to meet ANY of the following criteria will be disqualified from the incentive bonus plan)
Single Quarterly Bonus Incentive
- Solo Driver bonus: Based upon miles per week
-Solo up to 40,000 miles $400 + $333 = $733.00 -Solo up to 41,000 miles $500 + $410 = $910.00 -Solo up to 42,000 miles $750 + $420 = $1170.00
Team Quarterly Bonus Incentive
- Team Driver Bonus: Based upon miles per week
- Team up to 59,000 miles $1200 + $590 = $1790.00/Split
- Team up to 61,000 miles $1500 + $610 = $2110.00/Split
- Team up to 63,000 miles $2,000 + $630 = $2630.00/Split
- Team up to 65,000 miles $2500 + $650 = $3150.00/Split
8.5 MPG Club (WITH THIS NEW Bonus system, a Driver could Win up to $29,000 and a New Harley)
ATTENTION DRIVERS - As of January 29/08, there have been some changes made to fuel incentive program. This change should give drivers more incentive to try harder on Fuel economy. You will be able to achieve the numbers easier by the engine control Module Parameters that have been changed to all MVT Company trucks.
Changes are:
- 1)- All company trucks will be governed at 62 MPH with a “Driver Reward “ incentive of 2 MPH extra.
- 2)- Driver reward incentive _ in order to obtain the speed reward you must maintain an 8.5
- MPG with a 4% idle or less_ the reward will be an extra 2 MPH, making your maximum road speed at 64 MPH. (Note: there will be no more intermediate rewards)
- WIN THE HARLEY, is still in effect plus the $25,000.00 cash prize for best fuel mileage for the year.
- Driver with highest fuel mileage in a quarter wins a motorcycle.
- Singles must run at least 30,000 miles to the 3 months and have a t least 98% on time delivery and no chargeable accidents.
- Solo drivers have the opportunity to take cash instead of motorcycle ($10,000.00)
- Teams must maintain at least 50,000 miles for the 3 months period
- Teams can split $10,000.00( $5,000.00 each) instead of taking motorcycle
- We will give away a Motorcycle every 3 months.
- Drivers are only eligible to Win a vehicle once; However you should keep trying to get the best fuel mileage. After one year, the Winner with the best fuel mileage will get a $25,000.00 cash prize.
- It is possible that someone with good fuel mileage may never win a motorcycle but still win the $25,000.00 after the year is up.
- We will compensate all drivers with a $500.00 cash reward every quarter of the year if you:
- Attend continuing education course which includes SMITH SYSTEM.
- Maintain an average of 8.5 MPG & 4% idle or less
- Stay Accident/incident free
- On time deliveries (drivers will be disqualified if refusing any loads) unless a valid reason is given
- Solo drivers must run at least 30,000 miles and Teams 50,000 miles or more
- Must attend the New continuing education classes (starting in October 2010)
Quarterly Payment Schedule
All bonuses are paid the last week of the month following the ending of the quarter. The quarters are: January, February & March: • Bonus pay last week of April April, May & June: • Bonus pay last week of July July, August, & September: • Bonus pay last week of October October, November & December: • Bonus pay last week of January
- 8.5 MPG and above $500.00
- 9 MPG and above $750.00
- 10 MPG and above $1,000.00
- Best MPG every 3 months (new Harley)
- Best MPG average per year ($25,000.00) you may never win a motorcycle, but best average may still get you the $25,000.00.
Training Program
MVT currently offers an intensive safety training program. Trainees will complete a 9 to 12 weeks on-highway training program with MVT's best drivers.
Drivers go through this safety training, ensuring compliance with company and government regulations. For that reason MVT has an outstanding safety record and maintains a satisfactory safety rating with the Federal Department of Transportation. This ensures the client of consistent quality service.
